Dember 10. Language Arts
Spelling test this Friday and Spelling booklet is due on Monday December.15. I have decided to not have a spelling test the last week of school, as the students have worked really hard and Friday is a fun day. Instead, we will work on the words in class and with the spelling booklet but no marks or tests will be given. The book report for December is due on December.15 as well, which has to be a story book and the book report sheet filled out. Thanks!
December.10- Social Studies
We will have our final unit test on Chapter 2-Fossils, on Wednesday, December.17. This unit is shorter, as we just started it but the material is not as difficult and the students enjoy learning about it. The unit test will include information from the Chatper in the textbook and activites that they have been working on. I will give a more detailed list to the students on Friday. Thanks!

Unit 3 tests went home.
We talked about reading the whole question before starting to answer it. We talked about writing down more work for rounding.
We will try to fit in more mental math questions. All students had some difficulty in this area.
We did a review quiz on Ch. 1 -3 .
A review booklet was due today. A number of students forgot it at home or did not complete it.
We will continue on with Ch. 4 tomorrow.

Science-Gears
We have been learning about gears and belt systems in science today. The students are learning how different sizes of wheels on a belt system affect how fast the belt and wheels will move. We talked about how bike gear systems work and why we use certain gears for certain activitites. This is a very difficult topic and even thougth I beleive most of the students understand the concepts it would be nice if they could review them at home as well.
Have a good week!
