Fantastic Friday, February 16

Skiing was a great experience but it certainly was tiring. Many of us could feel new muscles aching, not to mention bumps and bruises from our trials. Never-the-less we had to get our minds back on school today, so we did. Most students do not have much homework to worry about over the week off of school. For those who do, we have the following to complete: Mice at Center chapter questions up to Chapter 4 and a picture plus caption on an event from one of the first five chapters; Spelling Chapter 20 questions; and a Health mini-poster plus explanation showing one management strategy for stress.
Enjoy your week off of school and keep safe.
I have a meeting on Monday, February 26, so I'll see the class on Tuesday, February 27

Happy Groundhog's Day

With all this wintery weather, we should be glad that Spring will come soon. However, considering that the groundhog's prediction is less than 50% correct, do we really believe winter is on it's way out?

Homework - Language Arts - Journal Writing - 10 sentences answering the following questions: 1. Why are you happy and/or unhappy about the groundhog's prediction? 2. How accurate do you think the groundhog's prediction is ? Why?...... Students not done Spelling Unit 18 and the questions on the first 4 chapters of Mice at Center Ice, must also have them completed for Monday.

A number of students have not finished the work assigned on Wednesday. I reduced the amount by having them do only every second question but still there was over half the class not finished.

Parents you can help out with this section by reviewing the timetables with your child. concentrate on the 6,7, 8 and 9 times tables.
